Mason Jars

I know I say I love a lot of things but it's true if it's crafty I love it. I love Mason jars and all the cute things you can do with them. I see a ton a stuff on Pinterest and I want to do all the mason jar crafts and it's sad but they don't always turn out. I don't think I'll sell these because they could have turned out better, If don't I'll put them to good use either as a pencils or brushes or sorts they will look cute on desk. 

 

spray paint projects

I am in love with spray paint it makes things go by fast and its super easy. I tried about a year and a half ago to use it and well I failed. I didn't know really how far away you should be and all that good stuff but I really wanted to make a picture frame red and I had red spray paint so I went for it. Here's how it turned out. 

Another project is turning a ugly blue to white and the ugly magnets to a wonderful red which I also spray painted but I am going to spray them gold. 

I recommend buying your spray paint at Wal-Mart it's cheapest there and they have  a great selection. At Michaels a big can was about 6 something and Wal-Mart it's 3.69.  

 

Jeffersontown Farmers Market

My mother and I are very excited to have a booth in the Jeffersontown KY Farmer's Market. We are going to be there 8 more times. Our first time was yesterday. I got there at 7:30AM and set up and well I didn't think of everything- I forgot a table cloth and some tape and scissors, but luckily I was set up right next to my dear friend Paula Robinson and she was selling her homemade soaps and lotions. You should visit her shop at lessens.com 

We are selling my banners, cake plates, homemade cards, photos, and my Grandpa's bracelets. It was so fun to see people and chat with everyone. We are excited to go back this coming Saturday and   most Saturdays in July and one or tow in Aug and Sept.  

We had a more successful day than expected- I sold 4 photos, 1 card, and 1 bracelet. Here's to next week.

The husband and I teach the cute little sunbeams and our class had sharing time in Primary. I was so excited. The first thing I did was make a banner that said I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE. Then I thought oh yeah and I thought there must be a treat! I remembered that for my brother's weddings we bought and made new Temple molds and white chocolates. Like always I get excited about the decorations and treats of the activity. The last thing was what should I do for the lesson. Well Sunday morning I thought okay what would be the best way to teach the little kiddies about the Temple since they can't go inside yet. So, I thought they could at least know some fun info about Temples. I came up with Temple Trivia. These are the the questions The Husband and I came up with.

We started the lesson with singing the song " I love to see the Temple" we split the room in two and had whoever had the right answer raise you hand first. The kids loved it. We were given 15 min and we had more questions than time. 

Banners delight

I love banners I've been on quit the kick as of late. I really like making little banners out of swashi tape for either a cake topper or of a gift. This has become one of my favorite ways to give a gift, mostly because I have so much fun making it. This one is filled with chocolate! The box, string, and washi tape, I got from michaels I got a box of ten. Don't for get your michaels app for some great coupons. I got the sticks in the cooking aisle you can also use them for a kabob. 

I have started to move up in size of the banner. The last ones I made are for a background type foe a party or just to brighten up the room. I got 1/4 of a yard of six different patterned and colors of fabric made a templet of the size I wanted out of card stock got my cutter and cutting board and went to town. Once I had them all cut out I got one stran of rick rack am done of double sided bias tape

and sewed them together. They turned out better then they thought they would!
